One of the hidden gems of Angelina County is the Naranjo Museum of Natural History located in Lufkin. The museum houses thousands of fossils and Dinosaur bones collected by Dr. Neal Naranjo. One of the most impressive museum pieces is a 26-foot tall Hadrosaur. Whether you have a passion for dinosaurs or not, a day spent at the Naranjo Museum offers fun and enjoyment for all ages.
The Naranjo Museum of Natural History opened to the public in September of 2012. Children will enjoy the hands-on exhibit and the dig pit where you can dig for fossils. The museum also features a party room for gatherings like birthday parties.
